Happy Birthday to Rachael!

Happy Birthday to the greatest friend ever!! That would be Rachael LeAnn Tuter Werner. I have known Rachael for about 14 years now. Crazy I know! I can still remember the first time she said hi to me, it was on a Wednesday night and it happened to be my birthday. Ever since then we have been great friends.
We have been through many times together, whether it be good or bad. She has always been there for me no matter what and has always been an encouragement to me. Today has been a special day, not only Rachael but for me as well. Ever since the time we met till the day she got married we have spent this day together making memories that I will have for the rest of my life. Our tradition was that I would go to her house the night before her birthday and we would rent movies from Slick Flick and it would end up that I would be watching the movie and Rachael would be asleep by the first 10 minutes of the movie. Hehe. She wasn’t a late night person. Then we would sleep in a little and get up to the smell of Mrs. Tuter’s cinnamon rolls. They were very yummy! After we ate and opened some gifts we went down to the creek to explore or work on our tree house (which we spent three years working on and only got a few steps done and then decided to move on and do something else). I don’t think we will ever get to old to go down to the creek. For dinner that night we always had Rachael’s favorite meal, Stoffers Lasagna, Green Beans, Caesar Salad, French Bread.

Something else that I love about Rachael is that she is not afraid to be a dork with me. We both admit that we are dorks but we embrace it! We loved to make Amy (her little sister) be embarrassed to be with us. One thing we did was to see who could burp the loudest and Amy thought that was so gross. I love you Amy! Thanks for being a great sport! :)

Rachael and I would laugh over the silliest things and we could laugh for minutes at a time without taking a breath and then when we would finally take a breath we would start laughing again because we took a breath at the same time. Yeah that’s how it goes with us. I know that Rachael and I will be friends for the rest of our lives no matter where we are in the world. Thank you Rachael for being a great friend.

Happy Birthday and I hope that you will have many, many more. I love you girl!

Grandpa Greenhill

Brock’s Grandpa is not doing very well right now. It looks like he will be going
“home” to see Jesus soon. He has been in the nursing home since I met him. I have not known Grandpa Greenhill for very long but I have gotten to spend some time with him and I have heard many stories about him and what a wonderful man he was. All the stories reminded me of my grandpa and even though I was not able to know Grandpa Greenhill outside the nursing home I feel like I know him and I have come to love him. One thing that means a lot to me is that Grandpa Greenhill has been able to remember me when we visit. That in its self means so much to me.

Grandpas are very special people. They always know the right thing to do and say. Every time I had a problem I would go to my Grandpa and ask for his advice and he would always have an answer for me and he was always good to point me to Christ. I know that Grandpa Greenhill was a godly man because I can see how he raised his children. Grandpa Greenhill will be missed but we all know that we will see him again in heaven soon. We love you Grandpa!

This will be Brock’s first grandparent to go “home” and I know that it is going to be very hard on him so if you would please keep us and our family in your prayers we would appreciate it. Thank you.

Blessings in Christ!

Destination Unknown

Destination Unknown is when the teens don't know where we are going and they are surprised when we get to the place.

This destination unknown we took them to the corn maze in Weatherford. But the night we went they had the haunted corn maze. It was kinda scary but they enjoyed it. We had alot of fun!

Happy Birthday Stephanie

Happy birthday to my cousin Stephanie Lauren Bailey! I want to tell you a little bit about how much she means to me. Stephanie is a very beautiful person inside and out. I love how she is always smiling no matter what the situation. She is a very bubbly and happy person and is almost always laughing. She knows how to lighten up a crowd and get a party started.
Stephanie, Brooke (her sister), Adrianne (my sister), and myself were inseparable when we were growing up. We called ourselves the “Bailey girls”. One of my many memories I have of all of us is when Stephanie and I wanted to give Brooke a birthday party. And so we baked a cake and got some icing that you could decorate with and headed out to the little trailer house (we spent many hours in that trailer just playing whatever) and we all decorated the cake and then Stephanie got the brilliant idea to decorate our faced with the icing. We had a lot of fun doing that and then when it came to clean it all off our faces, we didn’t realize that it stains skin… So we had icing stains on our faces but it was all good because we made that night unforgettable. We made memories that night that we will never forget.

That is another thing about Stephanie, you are always guaranteed to have a good time and make a great memory with her. She reminds me a lot of our Papaw. He was a wonderful Godly man. Papaw always would bring the best out in people. We all miss him very much, but we get to see glimpses of him in Stephanie. Everyone I know, that knows Stephanie loves her. And I love her very, very much!!

I could go on and on about how much she means to me but for the sake of time I won’t.

Stephanie - Happy birthday girl! I hope that your day is special! I love you!

Life with the Greenhill's...

Where to start? Well for those of you that don’t know, Brock and I bought a house in March. It is in Bethany on ½ acre lot and the house is 1550 square feet. It is one that’s needs to be up dated from 1970’s/80’s. It is a work in progress but it is coming along quite nicely if I do say so myself. Brock and I both have enjoyed putting our own little touch in it. Brock has done all the work himself with me helping where I can. I am so proud of him! He does a great job. We have completed the guest bedroom, living room, office, and master bathroom. All we lack is the master bedroom, kitchen, and guest bathroom. We work on it as we have time. And we don’t get much of that anymore with Brock being the youth pastor at our church and him and me both still in school. But we take what we can get. The Lord has and is still truly blessings us.

This summer has been the busiest summer we have ever had in our entire life! We have something every week. We were ready for the school year to start again so that life could slow down a little. It has slowed down a lot and we are thankful for the “free” time we get every once in a while.

School is going well for Brock. Hopefully he will be done in December, but we aren’t sure about that yet. So be praying! I have three more semesters left before I can apply for nursing school.

Brock is doing well in his position as youth pastor. The students are starting to respond to Brock and give him some feedback. We both know that this is where the Lord has us for this time in our life and we would still like to be in the mission field overseas eventually. We are in a mission field in and of itself with being in youth ministries. Please pray for us!

I am still working at Reaching Souls International. I have been there for two years now and plan to be there until the Lord leads me somewhere else.

Brock and I both still love being married after one full year of marriage and love each other more than ever! Well that is all I have for now. I will try and post some pictures of the house soon.

Blessings!

Busy, busy, busy...

Life has been busy here at the Greenhill home with work and all the youth activities. Brock and I talked about how it was going to be nice once summer came alone so we could slow down a little but we had another thing coming. We agreed that the summer is busy than the school year. So needless to say we are both ready for the school year to start.

Brock is doing well in the new youth pastor postion he likes it alot and we both are excited about what the Lord is doing in the youth group. I have been at Reaching Souls International for two years now and I am thankful to be able to be apart of what the Lord is doing through this ministry. The Lord has truly blessed Brock and I both and we can't wait to see where the Lord leads us in the following years. Well that is all I have for now I will try and give another update soon! Blessings!
