Happy Birthday to Rachael!

Happy Birthday to the greatest friend ever!! That would be Rachael LeAnn Tuter Werner. I have known Rachael for about 14 years now. Crazy I know! I can still remember the first time she said hi to me, it was on a Wednesday night and it happened to be my birthday. Ever since then we have been great friends.
We have been through many times together, whether it be good or bad. She has always been there for me no matter what and has always been an encouragement to me. Today has been a special day, not only Rachael but for me as well. Ever since the time we met till the day she got married we have spent this day together making memories that I will have for the rest of my life. Our tradition was that I would go to her house the night before her birthday and we would rent movies from Slick Flick and it would end up that I would be watching the movie and Rachael would be asleep by the first 10 minutes of the movie. Hehe. She wasn’t a late night person. Then we would sleep in a little and get up to the smell of Mrs. Tuter’s cinnamon rolls. They were very yummy! After we ate and opened some gifts we went down to the creek to explore or work on our tree house (which we spent three years working on and only got a few steps done and then decided to move on and do something else). I don’t think we will ever get to old to go down to the creek. For dinner that night we always had Rachael’s favorite meal, Stoffers Lasagna, Green Beans, Caesar Salad, French Bread.

Something else that I love about Rachael is that she is not afraid to be a dork with me. We both admit that we are dorks but we embrace it! We loved to make Amy (her little sister) be embarrassed to be with us. One thing we did was to see who could burp the loudest and Amy thought that was so gross. I love you Amy! Thanks for being a great sport! :)

Rachael and I would laugh over the silliest things and we could laugh for minutes at a time without taking a breath and then when we would finally take a breath we would start laughing again because we took a breath at the same time. Yeah that’s how it goes with us. I know that Rachael and I will be friends for the rest of our lives no matter where we are in the world. Thank you Rachael for being a great friend.

Happy Birthday and I hope that you will have many, many more. I love you girl!

Grandpa Greenhill

Brock’s Grandpa is not doing very well right now. It looks like he will be going
“home” to see Jesus soon. He has been in the nursing home since I met him. I have not known Grandpa Greenhill for very long but I have gotten to spend some time with him and I have heard many stories about him and what a wonderful man he was. All the stories reminded me of my grandpa and even though I was not able to know Grandpa Greenhill outside the nursing home I feel like I know him and I have come to love him. One thing that means a lot to me is that Grandpa Greenhill has been able to remember me when we visit. That in its self means so much to me.

Grandpas are very special people. They always know the right thing to do and say. Every time I had a problem I would go to my Grandpa and ask for his advice and he would always have an answer for me and he was always good to point me to Christ. I know that Grandpa Greenhill was a godly man because I can see how he raised his children. Grandpa Greenhill will be missed but we all know that we will see him again in heaven soon. We love you Grandpa!

This will be Brock’s first grandparent to go “home” and I know that it is going to be very hard on him so if you would please keep us and our family in your prayers we would appreciate it. Thank you.

Blessings in Christ!
